Despite fighting in many bloody battles, Jekatta has managed to reach old age, a feat considered to be very rare for Tenakth. These experiences, as well as his role as a Tenakth Chaplain result in Jetakka having a very calm and caring personality. Jekatta strives for peace over anything and will readily choose the path of less bloodshed when attempting to solve any conflict.
Jekatta first meets Aloy when she and Drakka return with the machine parts needed to trade for water. While Drakka feels that this trade is unfair for his people, Jetakka believes that the problem is much deeper than that. He asks Aloy to join him in Scalding Spear to discuss the matter in greater detail as he believes that her Focus will help solve the current water crisis.
Jekatta's experience as both a warrior and a Chaplain has gained him the experience necessary to be a trusted member of the Desert Clan. Depsite the tendency of the Tenakth to choose war over peace, Jekatta focuses on the survival of his people over anything, which has gained him respect from many clans members.
