How to Beat Tremortusk

Freeze the Tremortusk

Horizon Forbidden West - Freeze the Tremortusk.jpg
Tremortusk is weak against freezing attacks. You can use Freeze Arrows or Frost Blastsling to freeze it. The Chillwater Drum can be used as an alternative to freezing it by shooting it with arrows. You can also deal increased damage on Tremortusk once it's frozen.

Detach Weapon Components

Horizon Forbidden West - Tear Precision Arrows.jpg
You can decrease the variation of attacks of Tremortusk by removing its weapon components. Remove them easily using your Sharpshot Bow's Tear Precision Arrows.

Keep Some Distance

Horizon Forbidden West - Keep Some Distance.jpg
Tremortusk is extremely dangerous up close. Make sure not to get too close to it to avoid getting hit and dying. Create some space quickly by sprinting and dodging continuously.

Hit Tremortusk's Blaze Sac

Horizon Forbidden West - Tremortusk Blaze Sac.jpg
Set Tremortusk and nearby human enemies ablaze by destroying the Tremortusk's Blaze Sac. You can do that quickly using Precision Arrows. You can also use the Concentration skill to get more time to aim it accurately.
