What to Do in Scalding Spear

Complete the Challenges in the Melee Pit

MeleePit Large.jpeg

One of the Melee Pits in Horizon Forbidden West is located in Scalding Spear. Completing chanllenges here is required to finish the Errand The Enduring.

Talk to Zorrah for Facepaint and a New Quest

Talking to Zorrah unlocks the Side Quest The Deluge as well as the ability to change your facepaint.

Play Machine Strike

The upper levels of Scalding Spear contain an area where you can play Machine Strike at the Beginner's level.

Buy and Trade For Food

Just like other locations, the Cooks here will sell you food, as well as trade food for certain sources.

Dye Your Clothes with the Dyer

The Dyer on the ground floor of Scalding Spear with change the color of your clothes if you bring her the necessary flowers for the dye.

Stock Up on Potions With the Herbalist

If you are low on Health and Status Potions, talk to Herbalist on the upper level of Scalding Spike to fill up your inventory.

Upgrade Weapons and Pouch Capacity at the Workbench

If you have gathered enough resources, you can head to the top of Scalding Spear to upgrade your Weapons, Outfits, and Pouch Capacity.

Buy New Weapons and Equipment

Next to the Workbench is Hunter who can purchase new weapons and equipment from.

Access Items from Your Stash

In the same area as the Hunter and Workbench is Your Stash. Pick up any important items before heading on to the next Quest.

Scan the Datapoint

If you go up the scaffolding (as seen in the picture), you can access a Datapoint to scan for your Collectibles.
