Singularity Walkthrough

Objectives
1 Horizon Forbidden West - Singularity - Campfire
・Return to the Base
・Assemble Your Companions
・Go to the Rendezvous Point
・Call Your Companions at the Campfire

When heading to the rendezvous point, take your Sunwing to get there fast. Go around the mountain to the southwest of the base; the Sunwing won't be able to fly over it.
Before leaving for the rendezvous point, get your supplies together first. The rendezvous point won't let you fast travel back for free and will lock you into completing the Quest, so if you want to get ready, do it before you start moving.
2 Horizon Forbidden West - Singularity - Sneak or Fight Specters
・Go to the Launch Tower
After calling your companions, go along the path. Either sneak past the Specters or fight them.
If you choose to fight them, sneak past until you get to the rock with the Ravager Cannon on it, and use this to start off with an advantage.
3
When you reach the cave, use the Shieldwing to glide to the right. There looks to be a cliff above to the left, but you can't reach this, so instead of trying to glide across the water, glide across the gap to the right, and then jump across to a cliff you can climb up.
4
Outside the cave, either fight and avoid the Specter, and go to the ledge overlooking the cliff and Shieldwing across to the cliff you can climb up. Go past the next Specter, and in the next area, climb along the tops of the rocks. Even if the Specters here see you, you can run past with no problem if you stay on top of the rocks.
5
Platform around the side of the cliff and continue ahead until a cutscene starts. Use your Focus to see the ledges you can grab on and know where to go next.
6
After the cutscene, go right and climb around the cliffs. Shieldwing down and climb up the rock below with the bridge across, then turn right, then left. You'll hit a dead end, so turn back and find a staircase to go up. Continue ahead through a few cutscenes.
Erend will stand on the way where you will need to go next, so keep your eye on him.
7 Horizon Forbidden West - Singularity - Defeat Erik
・Kill Erik
Enter the tower and you'll fight Erik.
Erik is a hard boss who moves quickly, and whose attacks are difficult to avoid in both melee and ranged situations. Keep a distance when he is in the air and attack with Fire and Frost Arrows, and melee him when on the ground.
8 Horizon Forbidden West - Singularity - Go up the Tower
・Go to the Top of the Tower
Platform up, then Shieldwing across the gap. If you fall down here, you'll have to restart from your save to get back up to the elevator platform. Platform up to the top.
9 Horizon Forbidden West - Singularity - Pulse Cannon
・Defeat Tilda
・Return to the Control Center

Defeat Specter Prime to complete the Quest and the main story. Be sure to scan Specter Prime, as missing it will make you unable to complete your Machine catalogue.
Specter Prime is weak to Acid and Plasma. If you have a weapon like the Icestorm Boltblaster with Plasma Bolts, you can first inflict it with Acid, then load it with bolts to simultaneously deal heavy damage and inflict it with Plasma.

Tips and Strategies

Use Heavy Weapons on the Way

Horizon Forbidden West - Singularity - Heavy Weapons
If you decide to take out all the Specters coming your way, you can use the heavy weapons lying on the ground. They will help you hurt and kill the Specters quickly, and you can progress smoothly.

Pick Up Resources as You Go

Horizon Forbidden West - Singularity - Get Resources
Loot resources as you pass through areas on this quest. You might find missing crafting materials, health potions, or medicinal herbs that you will probably need when facing Erik and Tilda.

Go Melee on Erik

Horizon Forbidden West - Singularity - Melee Attacks
When Erik comes down from the air to use melee attacks, take advantage of the chance to spam three-hit sequences of R1 light attacks. He takes a surprising amount of stun from these attacks, and if you continue to spam them, sometimes he'll be stunned continuously throughout the sequence and you'll be able to take out a large chunk of his health.

Keep Your Distance from Specter Prime

Horizon Forbidden West - Singularity - Defeat Tilda From a Distance
Specter Prime can use powerful melee attacks, but its ranged attacks are generally avoidable, and there are thin walls around the edges of the arena which provide some minor protection. You'll be fine as long as you keep pounding it with Acid and Plasma, so just stay out of its way, dodge when needed, and gradually wear down its health.

Can You Fight Erik and Specter Prime Again?

No, These are Unrepeatable Battles

Horizon Forbidden West - Singularity - Cannot be Repeated

After you complete the Singularity Main Quest, there's no way to replay it without returning to a previous save file, so the fights with both Erik and Specter Prime are both unrepeatable. You can also miss out on scanning Specter Prime, and won't be able to scan it again to get 100% completion for your Machine catalogue, so be sure to scan it here.

There is also no New Game Plus feature, so if you don't have an earlier save file, the only way to fight these bosses again will be to start the game again from the beginning.
