After preloading the game on the PlayStation console, Horizon Forbidden West is listed to have a midnight local release. This means the game will be available in each region when the clock strikes midnight in that area.

This sets it apart from other PlayStation exclusives, which usually have a worldwide release. In a worldwide release, people around the world will all gain access at the same time, while a local time release means that players in eastern time zones are able to play the game earlier

Keep in mind that changing the region or timezone on your console does not affect the time you can play the game, since it is dependent on the timezone of the PlayStation Store where the game was purchased.
