What does Explosive Damage Do?

Explosive Damage is an area of effect type of damage that can stagger and even knockdown an enemy machine. A machine afflicted with Explosive Damage will stagger and have smoke come from its affected parts, creating a window of opportunity for more attacks.

How to Effectively Use Explosive Damage

Scan and Aim at Explosive Components and Weak Spots

Use Blastslings and Spike Throwers against enemies with explosive components to detonate them. Explosive damage is effective against almost all enemy types, but even more so against enemies that tend to clump together in groups. This can cause a chain of explosions if they are grouped closely enough.
