How Many Machines Are There?

Horizon Forbidden West will have 43 main enemy machine types. However, with some entries having multiple variants, the total number of machines you will encounter in the game is 103 different machines!

Acquisition Machines

Acquisition machines are primarily programmed to dig up resources from the earh to convert into biofuel and other materials. These machines are either scavengers or gatherers, however some of their components were designed for combat in the presence of a threat.

Combat Machines

Combat machines are specialized in eliminating threats. Larger combat machines tend to go alone while smaller combatants are often seen guarding herds of Transport or Acquistion machines.

Recon Machines

Recon machines are scouts that patrol and scan their surroundings to gather information. These machines do not pose much of a threat as their function is not towards combat, however they are equipped with components that can be used for immediate threats.

Transport Machines

Transport machines carry valuable resources gathered by other machines. These machines tend to be in groups and store valuable resources in canisters and cargo holds attached to their body.
