How to Unlock The Wound in the Sand and Location

Complete Thirst for the Hunt and Meet Jetakka

To unlock The Wound in the Sand, you need to complete the Thirst for the Hunt side quest in Arrowhand. Completing that side quest will immediately trigger the quest.

After Jetakka talks to you to begin the side quest. Meet him at Scalding Spear to proceed to the next objective.

How to Complete

	Objectives
1	Follow Jetakka Follow Jetakka to guide you to Yarra. Talk to her to continue.
2	Follow Yarra and the Wound Follow Yarra to the Wound. Use your Focus to follow the underground pipes.
3	Kill the Machines While following the pipes, climb upwards to an area with machines. Kill them and investigate the body.
4	Continue Following the Pipes to Reach the Pump Follow the pipes further until you reach the pump. Use your Focus to scan the pump.
5	Find a Way to Fix the Pump Use the Pullcaster to find a way to the top of the pump.
6	Turn on the Lever and Valve Once inside, turn off the valve, and pull the lever below. Before going up, use the Pullcaster to pull one of the pillars down to climb back up to open the valve. This is timed, so you have to reach the valve quickly after pulling the lever. Talk to Yarra after this is done.
7	Return to Scalding Spear Return to Scalding Spear to talk to the guard and find Yarra and Drakka to complete the side quest..

Tips and Strategies

Turn on the Valve Quickly

To make the Valve work, you have to close the valve on top first and then use the Pullcaster to pull the pillar down to go back up again after going down. Pull the lever, and immediately after pulling the lever, go up to turn the valve again.
