Drakka's rough upbringing makes himself very confident in his ability to survive and lead. He uses this drive to help other clan members in need. While his compassion for others leads him to believe he is deserving of more power, it is implied that he simply wants power for power's sake.
Drakka is currently the head of a machine-scrapping settlement called Arrowhand, located in the desert area, Dry Yearn. He obtained this rank due to his hard work and wits, and as such depsises the leadership of Yarra in Scalding Spear, who uses her control of water as means to oppress those less capable of surviving on their own.
Drakka meets Aloy at Arrowhand, and she helps him get the necessary machine parts to trade for water to help his people. While he is incredibly grateful, seeing the state of his people struggling to survive only strengthens his desire to fight back against Yarra, and he challenges her to a duel after finding out the current state of the water supply. Depending on your decision in the Side Quest The Gate of the Vanquished, either Yarra or Drakka dies, and the survivor becomes the leader of Scalding Spear and will offer the Burden of Command Errand to you.

Becoming the Leader of a Tenakth settlement, no matter how small, requires significant combat experience. Drakka also shows off his skills with a bow when he hunts for machine parts with Aloy.
