Melee Might is Very Useful in Combat

The Increase in Melee Damage makes dealing with hordes of enemies and machines much easier. The number of melee combos gained from the required skills to unlock this Valor Surge makes Aloy an efficient close-combat attacker.

List of Skills in Horizon Forbidden West

Valor Surge Tier List

SS Tier Icon Melee Might: Deal more damage with melee attacks.
Radial Blast: Trigger a powerful shockwave, damaging all enemies in the vicinity.
Power Shots: Deal more damage for certain number of shots with Bows, Boltcasters, Ropecasters, and Spike Throwers.
S Rank Icon Critical Boost: Gain a geater chance to land criticial hits, as well as increased critical hit damage.
Ranged Master: Deal more damage with ranged weapons.
Part Breaker: Deal more damage to machine components and weakspots.
Chain Burst : Damage dealt chains form one enemy to another within 15 meters, and boosts knowckdown power.
A Rank Icon Toughened: Restore Health and gain resistance to status effects.
Overshield: Gain arecharegeable, damage-absorbing energy shield.
Stealth Stalker: Activate a cloaking device (temporarily disabled when aiming or attacking).
B Rank Icon Trap Specialist: In crease the effects of traps and tripwires.
Elemental Fury: In crease the buildup of elmental attacks while gaining a greater resistance to elemental damage.

Ranged Master Makes Attacking From a Distance Easier

Ranged Master not only increases the damage that you inflict with ranged weapons, but also heals you a certain percent for every hit made. This Valor Surge is good for attacking enemies form a distance, as well as slowly recovering while continuously attacking.

Stealth Stalker is Ideal for Tough Early-Game Enemies

Stealth Stalker makes you undetectable to enemies when you are not aiming or attacking. This gives you the opportunity to get close to strong enemies to inflict massive damage, or escape from an overwhelming battle.

Part Breaker is Good for Easily Collecting Machine Parts

Many upgrades available in the game require Machine Parts. With Part Breaker you can detach these parts form machines easily, even if you don't you ammo that inflicts Tear Damage.
