1. JumpOff Large.jpeg
Jump off a high enough area.
2. ActivateShieldwing Large.jpeg
Press and hold the Square button to activate the Shieldwing.
3. DeactivateShieldwing Large.jpeg
Press the Circle button again deactivate the Shieldwing.

Save Yourself From Fall Damage

You can prevent yourself from taking fall damage but activating the Shieldwing mid-air. Setting the Shieldwing to automaitcally deploy in your Settings helps with this.

Travel Across Large Areas Quickly

If you don't have a mount or a Fast Travel Pack, you can cover a lot of ground by jumping off a high place and activating your Shieldwing to glide as far as you can. Since the Shieldwing has no stamina, you odn't have to worry about losing it mid-glide.
