Blameless Marad is shown to be helpful and cooperative especially in matters that would benefit the Carja. He is very loyal to the Sundom and is always striving to ensure its peace and safety, often crossing paths with Aloy to do so.
During the tyrannical reign of the Mad Sun-King, he fed information to the exiled prince Avad in an effort to depose the hated regime. After Avad joined with Oseram freebooters to accomplish this goal and become the 14th Sun-King, Marad stayed on to advise him.
Blameless Marad plays a minor role at the start of Horizon Forbidden West. He welcomes Aloy and Varl as they enter the Meridian to look for Sylens.
As spymaster of the Carja Sundom, Blameless Marad trades in secrets and information. With the information Marad supplied to Avad, they were able to overthrow the previous Sun-King and bring peace back to the Carja.
