Complete Sea of Sands

Completing the Main Quest Sea of Sands is a requirement since it grants you acces to the area where the chest is located.

After finishing Sea of Sands, talk to Stemmur in Hidden Ember. Doing so will activate the errand.

Complete all Relic Ruins Quests

One of the rewards for completing the Night of Lights Quest is an Ornament. This Ornament is part of a set of nine, the remaining 8 can be found in various ruins that make up the Relic Ruins Quest.

Return to Stemmur in Hidden Ember

After collecting all of the Ornaments, talk to Stemmur once more. He will thank you for you hard work and allow you to open the chest.

Receive the Legendary Shredder Gauntlet, Ancestor's return.

Finish the Relics Ruins Quests Before the Night of Light Errand

The Relics Ruins Quests require you to travel throughout the entire while, while the Night of Lights errand takes place in the same location that the errand and chest is found. Because of this, finishind the Night of Light Errand last will allow to open the chest immediately after completing it.
