How to the Start the Burning Shores DLC

Immediately Prompted after Completing Singularity

After purchasing the DLC, players need to complete the last main quest of the base game, Singularity, in order to activate the prompt shown in the picture above. Dialogue will then automatically play showing someone contacting Aloy and prompting her on the next steps to start the main quest for the Burning Shores.

Make sure that the purchased DLC and the base game are both region compatible otherwise the Burning Shores DLC will not start.

Burning Shores DLC Release Date

April 19, 2023

The Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores DLC was released on April 19, 2023 boasting new characters, machines, weapons, skills, tools, outfits, collectibles and more all in a brand new map area.

The complete edition for the PC, which includes the Burning Shores DLC, was released on March 21, 2024.
