How to Unlock Deep Trouble and Location

Unlock Chainscrape and Talk to Arnuf

You can unlock Deep Trouble after entering Chainscrape during the To The Brink main quest.

Talk to Arnuf

Begin the quest by talking to Arnuf in the north part of Chainscrape.

Deep Trouble Walkthrough

How to Complete

Objectives
1 Go to the Mine and talk to KorvendGo to the Mine and talk to Korvend
Go to the mines to find and talk to Korvend.
2 Find the Missing MinersFind the Missing Miners
After talking to Korvend, enter inside the mines to find the two miners. Proceed to the left side of the mine and dive into the water.
3 Find the Blockage and go to the Mine CartFind the Blockage and go to the Mine Cart
Dive into the cavern once more to find a ladder that allows you to see the mining cart. Swim towards the small tower and climb the ladder.
4 Fight off the BurrowersFight off the Burrowers
After climbing into the rail, enter the cavern filled with Burrowers. Take them down to proceed further and go up the rails until you reach a narrow climbing spot.
5 Detonate the ExplosivesDetonate the Explosives
After crossing the narrow cave, you can climb up and use the Pullcaster to reach the mining cart. Detonate the explosives
6 Kill the Machines and Return to the MinersKill the Machines and Return to the Miners
After blowing up the drainage, you will encounter Burrowers and Scroungers. Take them down, and use the Pullcaster to move the crates blocking the way.
7 Return to KorvendReturn to Korvend
Return to Korvend to complete the side quest.

Tips and Strategies

Swim on the Left Side of the Mine

Swim on the Left Side of the Mine

It can be difficult to find the chamber to swim inside in order to find the miners. To find the cavern, swim until you find a set of floating barrels, and dive down to find a passage that you can dive into. Use the bars to boost and prevent Aloy from drowning.
