Cauldron MU List of Objectives

Objectives
1 Enter the Cauldron and Climb UpEnter the Cauldron and Climb Up
Enter the Cauldron, and there will be a large pit in the center of the room. If you fall in you can just hop back out. Climb the vents on either side of the room and climb up to continue.
2 Go Down the ZiplinesGo Down the Ziplines
Go through the corridor and zipline down. Aloy will automatically drop and grab the next zipline.
3 Fight the Burrowers and override the nodeFight the Burrowers and override the node
Deal with the two Burrowers to clear the way to the node. Override it to activate a bridge
4 Override the Next Node and Take out the ScroungersOverride the Next Node and Take out the Scroungers
Go over the bridge and straight through the door, then turn right to find another node to override. Defeat the Scroungers in the next room. If you fall in the water, you can climb back up.
5 Deactivate the ShieldDeactivate the Shield
Once the enemies are defeated, use the Shieldwing or one of the hovering cargo machines to cross the gap. Override the node to remove the barrier and continue through the opening.
6 Climb Up and Glide Across the GapClimb Up and Glide Across the Gap
Drop down on the left side and climb up the vents to the next platform. Use the Shieldwing to glide across the gap.
7 Jump Onto the Mechanical ArmJump Onto the Mechanical Arm
Continue to through the triangular doorway and jump across gap beween the beams. Defeat a Scrounger in the next room before positioning Aloy on a perch to the right of the entryway. Wait for the mechanical arm to get close and jump onto it. Run to the other side and jump when you are near the next perch.
8 Override the Cauldron Door and Defeat EnemiesOverride the Cauldron Door and Defeat Enemies
Drop down and override the cauldron door. Go through it and defeat the Shell-Walker and Burrower in the next room.
9 Climb Up and Activate the BridgeClimb Up and Activate the Bridge
On the opposite side you entered from will be an upward slope and to the right will be a handhold you can climb up. Override the next node to cross a bridge.
10 Jump Across the Mechanical ArmsJump Across the Mechanical Arms
From the next perch, jump to the first mechanical arm. Wait for the arms to move and when the timing is right, jump to the next mechanical arm. Climb up the Vents and hop right to the next platform.
11 Jump Onto a Hovering Cargo MachineJump Onto a Hovering Cargo Machine
Jump from the perch onto a flying cargo machine and ride it as far as you can.
12 Jump Across the Metal ArmsJump Across the Metal Arms
Jump from the nearby perch onto another mechanical arm. Jump to the next arm when it gets close and then run across it to grab onto a handhold. Climb all the way left and drop down to a third arm. When the next arm gets close jump over to it.
13 Jump from Arm to Flying Cargo MachineJump from Arm to Flying Cargo Machine
Jump from the 4th mechanical arm onto a nearby flying cargo machine. Drop to the platform and jump from one perch to another and override a cauldron door.
14 Defeat Two WidemawsDefeat Two Widemaws
Drop down and override a node to initiate a fight with two Widemaws.
15 Override the Cauldron CoreOverride the Cauldron Core
Once you defeat the Widemaws, the Cauldron Core will rise up allowing you to Override it. Do so to complete Cauldron MU.

MU Override Machines

All Machines With MU Overrides

By clearing Cauldron MU, you can override the following machines:

  • Burrower
  • Scrounger
  • Grazer
  • Scrapper - Requires Crafting: 2 Scrapper Radars, 1 Scrapper Primary Nerve
  • Fanghorn - Requires Crafting: 3 Fanghorn Antlers, 1 Fanghorn Primary Nerve
  • Widemaw - Requires Crafting: 2 Widemaw Tusks, 1 Widemaw Primary Nerve

Note: Some Machine Overrides Must be Crafted at the Fabrication Terminal in the Base. Apex variants of Machines cannot be overriden.
