What does Fire Damage Do?

Fire Damage refers to damage when an enemy is suffering damage in a burning state. This is achieved from triggering a chain reaction after setting Blaze Canisters on fire. A machine afflicted with Fire Damage will have its body on fire which slowly deals damage over a short period of time. This will display a gauge on the machine. After this expires, the flames will go out.

How to Effectively Use Fire Damage

Scan for Enemy Weakness

Several enemy machines will be vulnerable to Fire Damage, and knowing which enemies are weak against which elements is the key to survival. Whenever you approach a new enemy, be sure to scan them before engaging in combat. This will give you the info you need to put yourself at an advantage.

Aim at Blaze Canisters and Sacs

Use Fire Arrows when aiming at Blaze Canisters to trigger Chain Reactions and detonate them to deal explosive damage over an area of effect. Alternatively, you can shoot an enemy directly if it is vulnerable to Fire damage. Once an elemental trigger is hit, the machine will be set on fire dealing damage over time, it may explode if the Blaze Canister or Sac is still intact and comes into contact with the flames.

Enemies with Components Vulnerable to Fire Damage

These machines have components which are especially vulnerable to Fire Damage and can trigger a chain reaction if hit with the right type of Ammo.
