Complete The Sea of Sands and Talk to Morlund

You can unlock this quest after completing The Sea of Sands main quest.

How to Complete

Objectives
1 Go to the Ruin with the Dragon StatueGo to the Ruin with the Dragon Statue
Follow the map marker inside Hidden Embers to enter the Ruin. You will find a location with a Dragon Statue that you can enter.
2 Reach the Upper LevelReach the Upper Level
On the first floor, open a vent using the Pullcaster to find a way to the second floor.
3 Move the CrateMove the Crate
You will find a crate next to a wall with Firegleam. Open it up and move the crate towards the ledge above.
4 Go to the Third FloorGo to the Third Floor
Once on the second floor, look for the crate on the higher level and pull it down. Move it towards the wall near the bars so you can jump to them. At the end of the bars, use your Pullcaster to pull down a pillar to help you jump across.
5 Go Up Using the VentGo Up Using the Vent
Once on the other side of the second floor, find a vent that you can open and climb up there.
6 Get the BurnerGet the Burner
After climbing, you can use the ledge to reach the burner. Jump on the dragon, and reach the head to get the burner.
7 Return to MorlundReturn to Morlund
After getting the burner, return to back to the surface and talk to Morlund. There will be burrowers coming out after getting the burner, but they can be avoided.
8 Fly the BalloonFly the Balloon
After talking to Morlund, you will be able to fly the Balloon.
9 Find MorlundFind Morlund
After the ride, find and rescue Morlund from machines. Kill the machines to get to Morlund.
10 Free MorlundFree Morlund
Free Morlund from debris and find the burner.
11 Find the BurnerFind the Burner
Follow Morlund and find the burner. You can reach the next ledge by pushing down a tree.
12 Kill the StormbirdKill the Stormbird
Kill the Stormbird to reach the Burner.
13 Talk to MorlundTalk to Morlund
After killing the Stormbird, talk to Morlund to complete the side quest.

Tips and Strategies

Use Acid Ammo Against the Stormbird

The Stormbird is weak against Acid ammo. Use it to force it to the ground, where you can destroy its wing thrusters and slow it down even more.
