Can You Lure Call?

No You Can't, Not Really

Horizon Zero Dawn Lure Call Horizon Forbidden West Mount Call

They do look very similar though, sadly they aren't the same.

The short answer is no, Lure Call is no longer a game mechanic in the sequel Horizon Forbidden West. Despite having the same gesture in both games, Horizon Forbidden West will no longer have Lure Call as a learnable Skill in the game. Instead the same gesture will only be used to call and summon a Mount. This could serve as an additional challenge for returning players, as Lure Call makes it easier to silently pick off members from a pack.

Lure Call Alternative

Good Ol' Throwing Rocks

Taking out Lure Call will force players into using other diversionary tactics to distract machines. You can still use Rocks to lure enemies into traps and ambushes or even divert their attention as they approach you. Though not as effecient as Lure Call, Rocks will provide a more engaging tactic.
