2 Customize the Settings in Photo Mode to your liking.
3 Make sure to adjust the camera angle to your preference. Once ready to take a photo, select Hide UI.
4 You can either Hold the Share button to take a photo, or press it once then select save screenshot in the menu that appears.

Photo Mode Settings

Photo Mode allows you to capture moments from Horizon Forbidden West and gives you the freedom to capture them the way you want to. The following are various filters and settings that you can choose from.

Hide Player

If you just want to take a photo of the game's vistas or even one of the machines that roam the world, you can toggle this setting to hide Aloy from the photo.

Facial Expression and Body Pose

You can play around with the numerous expressions and poses for Aloy if you want to set the mood of a photo, or if you just want to see Aloy look wacky.

Depth of Field

This allows you to maintain focus on a focal point of the photo.

Colorize

This sets different color filters for your photo, such as Black and White, and Sepia.

Time of Day

This sets the time the photo will be set in, so if you spot a scene that would look better at night, you can scroll all the way to your preferred time.

Border

This lets you add a border to a photo if you think it would look better when cropped differently.

Vignette

This adds film grain to your photo.
