Morlund is presented as a brilliant inventor and creative showman. When he was a child, his grandfather gave him an ancient artifact from an expedition in the uncharted lands of the Forbidden West. He called it an Ember, and the wondrous images it projected captivated Morlund's imagination.
Morlund, along with two of his friends and business partners, Abadund and Stemmur, have ventured the Forbidden West to the ruins of Las Vegas. Their goal was to recover more Embers and use them to put on a glorious show.
They've had several failed delving attempts but just when their dream seemed to be slipping away, their luck took a sudden turn for the better.
Ever since he was a child, Morlund has been fascinated with Embers. He grew up to be a travelling showman, creating novel inventions in order to stage spectacles all over his homeland.
