Tilda is shown to have a manipulative personality, more than a likely a result of her past. GAIA states that 'we are not the only ones who seek the answers', which may hint at characters with ambiguous motives such as Tilda (or even Sylens) playing a large role in the story. Whether Tilda is an ally or antagonist has yet to be officially confirmed though.
Not much is known about Tilda, although it has been hinted that she had a lonely childhood, filled with sadness and tragedy.
Based on her clothing she might have a connection to the Old Ones, the humans of the 21st century.
