| Objectives | |
|---|---|
| 1 | Talk to the Survivor (Optional)This is an optional task that players can choose to ignore to do in Plainsong. However, it is recommended to talk to the survivor, Ven, to get an idea of what Machine you'll be facing later on. |
| 2 | Head to the Oldgrowth Defeat the Machines Whether you choose to talk to the survivor or not, players will then need to head to the Oldgrowth, which is north of Plainsong. Once you have arrived in Oldsong, you'll need to defeat several Machines in the area in order to properly look at the dead body in the clearing. |
| 3 | Examine the Body Follow the Tracks Once all Machines have been defeated, examine the dead body in the middle of the clearing. Equip your Focus afterwards, and highlight the path near the road. Follow it to several more dead bodies – examine them, and use your Focus to track the paths towards the next objective. |
| 4 | Defeat the GlinthawksYou'll eventually come out to a large clearing near a cave surrounded by Glinthawks. Defeat these, and check out the crevice that they are guarding near the cliff wall. |
| 5 | Defeat the ClawstriderAfter speaking to the survivor, a Clawstrider will make its presence known. Destroy it, and talk to the survivor again. He will give you the Adhesive Blastsling. |
| 6 | Go Back to PlainsongReturn to Shael to end the Errand. |

The Clawstrider that attacks you and the last survivor towards the end of Errand is fast and nimble. Its Weak Points are also difficult to get to or target with your bow due to how fast it is, even if you slow down time. The best way to deal with them would be to set traps on the ground and bait the Machine into charging you – flank them afterwards for clean shots at their Weak Points.
