Complete The Kulrut and Talk to Atekka
The Valley of the Fallen unlocks after completing The Kulrut main quest.
Talk to Atekka in Thornmarsh to begin the quest.

How to Complete

| 1 |  Follow the Red RiverFollow the map marker leading up to the Red River. Follow the stream upwards. |
| 2 |  Fight the Machines and Talk to AtekkaAfter reaching a waterfall, you will encounter machines. Kill them and talk to Atekka. |
| 3 |  Climb up the WaterfallGo up the waterfall to reach the dead machine. |
| 4 |  Kill the Rebels and the MachineOnce at the top of the waterfall, kill the machines and rebels camped there. |
| 5 |  Examine the Machine LureAfter killing all enemies, examine the machine lure.Use your Focus afterwards to investigate the camp. |
| 6 |  Investigate the Rebel CampExamine the scrap piles around the camp. You can check the cliffs nearby for more items to investigate. |
| 7 |  Destroy the DamYou have to expose the Shellsnapper sac using your Pullcaster to make the ballista deal enough damage. Atekka will go up and use the ballista after you expose the sac. |
| 8 |  Return to Atekka in ThornmarshGlide down the cliff using your Shieldwing to return to Atekka and complete the side quest. |
Tips and Strategies
Use Freeze Arrows on the Fireclaw
The Fireclaw is weak against freeze arrows. This slows them down leaving them vulnerable to attacks from your Spike Thrower or Blastsling, which exposes and destroys their weak points.
