For His Amusement is one of the main quests in Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores (HFW). Read on to see a detailed walkthrough of the quest, its rewards, location, where to find the charged energy cell as well as how to open the volcano door.

For His Amusement Walkthrough

Objectives
1 Meet Seyka at the Beach
Approach Seyka at the shore and talk with her to activate a cutscene. Then, wait for a bit to listen to Beta's message.
2 Gather Waterwing Parts
The map will show where you can collect Waterwing Parts, which is to the South of Fleet's End. Dive underwater and scan the area to find the broken Waterwings on the seafloor where you can directly collect from. Make sure to hide from the Snapmaws in the Stealth Kelp from time to time and players also have the option to use the ballista to eliminate them..
3 Listen to Beta and Craft the Waterwing Override
Let Beta's message play out and head to a workbench (Fleet's End will be the nearest one) to craft the override.
4 Meet Seyka at the Waterwing Site and Override a Waterwing
Listen to Seyka's message then make your way to the marked Waterwing site. Seyka should be near the border of where the plants and trees meet the beach. Use your focus to mark the Waterwing's path, crouch within the tall grass then override the Waterwing from behind.
5 Fly and Dive to Londra's Park
After the cutscene, make your way to the island in the south east area of the Burning Shores. Use the sound of the mechanism and the dialogue as markers to know when to dive underwater. It will be the same controls as when you fly a Sunwing.
6 Find Londra and the Volcano
Head deeper inside the amusement park (you may want to activate the campfire near the front) until you get the objective, find the volcano. The volcano can be seen on the map, to the north east of the island. Take note that Aloy and Seyka will encounter a lot of Quen warriors along the way so be prepared to fight.
7 Find a Way to Open the Volcano Door
Head to the circular dome structure in the west area of the island (as shown above). After you open the door inside, a cutscene will play out. Players will then need to defeat all of the Quen guards and then get Fedder's Key. Use the environment to your advantage when taking cover as the dome has a lot of spots where enemies can hide.
8 Find a Way to Open the Volcano Door
To find a use for Fedder's Key, head back outside then head to the building (The Armory) on the east of the island, directly south of the volcano when looking at the map. Enter it by using Fedder's Key at the location shown in the picture above.
9 Find a Way to Open the Volcano Door
Head deeper into the Armory and examine the white machine, storage unit, in one of the rooms. Use the focus to mark the next 3 items to be investigated: the canister at the bottom of the shelf, the note on the bed across from the storage unit, and some test tubes on one end of the room.
10 Find a Way to Open the Volcano Door
In the next room, turn right then use your pullcaster on the grate hidden behind some boxes on the left. Crawl through the vent then examine the console in the room.
11 Reset the Power
To reset the power, pry open the door near where you crawled through the vent. In the next room, right beside the locked door with the red light, there wil be a space you can crouch and go through.
12 Reset the Power
Once you get through, ignite the Firegleam that's inside the room to your immediate left then head back out to the hallway. Head down the hallway then to the 2nd to the last room on the left. In this room there will be a broken window where you can aim and use the pullcaster on the wall. After breaking this wall head to the hallway again and enter the last room to the left. Players will find the fully charged energy cell here. To take it back go through the spot where you ignited the firegleam.
13 Reset the Power
Once you reach the room with the creepy chair at the center, enter one of the rooms in the corner to find where you can place the energy cell.. Remember to first remove the empty energy cell otherwise you will not get a prompt to insert the fully charged one. Pull the lever. Head back out to the room with the chair in the middle to watch the recording.
14 Examine the Console and Go to the Volcano
Interact with the nearby console to play a cutscene. After selecting the option to proceed, players will now be able to head to the volcano.
15 Kill the Slaughterspine
After the cutscene at the volcano, players will need to kill the Apex Slaughterspine. Use weapons that apply, fire or acid. Keep a good distance from it as it will sweep its attacks in a wide area.

Main Quest Tips

Use the Sound to Gauge When to Dive

When headed to the island, use the sound and dialogue to know when to dive and avoid the incoming projectiles. This will help players, get ahead of the timing instead of scrambling to dodge when it is too late. In relation to this, as much as possible keep your Waterwing above deep waters because there are shallow areas where the Waterwings cannot dive and may get hit as a result.

Mark the Waterwing's Path Before Overriding

To successfully override the Waterwing, mark their path to gauge when they turn around. This part can be tricky as multiple Waterwings will rest on top of rocks so players must navigate between their lines of sight.

Equip Plasma and Fire Weapons

Aloy will encounter a lot of Quen Guard enemies during this chapter of the story. Take advantage of this and use weapons that inflict Plasma buildup. Additionally, it may be harder to see these enemies on the island so make sure to use the focus to scan for their locations on different levels and behind objects.
For the main boss at the end of this quest, players will need to defeat an Apex Slaughterspine which is weak to Fire and Acid. It has a lot of weak spots on its tail and back so make sure to take advantage of this.

Equip an Outfit with Plasma Resistance

The Apex Slaughterspine at the end of the quest, uses a lot of attacks that inflict Plasma. Prepare for this by considering an outfit with high plasma resistance.
