Keep Attacking Until Elder Golem Becomes Exhausted

The Elder Golem will become pressured after losing their energy. Elder Golem will lose energy every time they attack or take damage from the party.

To make sure they eventually get exhausted, use offensive Abilities like Cloud's Braver or Tifa's Divekick every time you build up your ATB Gauge and wait until they get pressured.

How to Beat Elder Golem

Use Focused Thrust Once Elder Golem is Pressured

Once the Elder Golem is pressured, take this opportunity to use Focused skills like Cloud's Focused Thrust or Barret's Focused Shot to build up the stagger meter significantly until they get staggered.

Once staggered, use strong Abilities to defeat the Elder Golem once and for all.

Use Wind Magic to Deal Significant Damage

The Elder Golem is weak to wind so use Wind spells like Aero to deal significant damage against them.
