O Chicken, Where Art Thou is a Side Quest that can be unlocked during Chapter 9 of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth (FF7 Rebirth). Read on to learn more about how to unlock O Chicken, Where Art Thou, how to lure the chickens, how to defeat the Levridon, as well as the available rewards.

Progress through the main story quest of Chapter 9. You will have to go through the Gongaga Reactor as Cloud, then another time as Tifa. Defeating the main story boss Crimson Mare Mk. II will take you back to Gongaga after a few cutscenes.
Chapter 9: The Planet Stirs
Accept the quest at the Community Noticeboard, talk to Kazhra at the southwestern part of Gongaga town, accept her quest to retrieve her lost chickens, and follow Red XIII to the first chicken.
You will need to play a series of three small minigames where you lure three chickens back to Kazhra using a feed clanger on a string. These progressively get harder as you go, so follow our tips below to get all three back without too much hassle:

| Tips for First Chicken: ・Don't put the clanger too close to the chicken. ・Start a meter away and begin backpedaling when the chicken starts to move. ・Try to keep the clanger at least a meter away at all times. ・Don't backpedal too far or else the clanger will roll without you yanking on it. Tips for Second Chicken: ・Stop backpedaling and yanking when you see a question mark on the chicken. ・Look behind every now and then to see where you're going. ・Try not to move diagonally or sideways, as it slows down your movement. ・If the chicken loses interest, try to regain its interest immediately by picking up the clanger and putting it back down so you don't have to start from the beginning. Tips for Third Chicken: ・When the chicken is charging, yank the clanger back at the last second so it will miss. ・When the icon above the charging chicken changes to double exclamation marks, that is the best time to pull. |
While you're luring the fourth and last chicken, a Levridon will appear, prompting you to defeat it. It is weak to Ice so use Blizzard skills to deal massive damage.
It becomes Pressured while it's building up an electric charge. If it fully charges, it unleashes stun attacks to try not to reach this point. Use stagger-increasing abilities like Focused Thrust and Focused Shot while it's in this state to stagger it immediately.
The chicken will have returned to Kazhra on its own, thankfully eliminating the need for you to lure it all the way back yourself.

Completing O Chicken, Where Art Thou will also increase your friendship with Red XIII. This will affect the events that will occur when you visit the Gold Saucer later in the game.
