How to Unlock Bodybuilders in a Bind

Complete Rendezvous in Costa del Sol Side Quest

To unlock this quest, you will first need to complete the Rendezvous in Costa del Sol side quest, which becomes available immediately upon entering Chapter 7: Those Left Behind.

How to Complete Bodybuilders in a Bind

1. Head to Training Gym and Talk to Jules
2. Defeat the 4 Fiends Around the Gym
3. Win at Crunch-Off Minigame

Head to Training Gym and Talk to Jules

Upon accepting the quest from the Community Noticeboard, you will be directed to the Training Gym southwest of Costa del Sol. Head there and talk to Jules.

Defeat the 4 Fiends Around the Gym

Defeat 4 groups of Fiends within the green circular area on the map. The Citripine Schoolmaster is weak to Blizzard so exploit its weakness to pressure it.

The Crown Lance is weak to Fire. Don't attack it while it's in the air and instead gain ATB from attacking the smaller Citripinefish so you can cast Fire on the Crown Lance.

Win at Crunch-Off Minigame

Obtain the basic reward at the Crunch-Off minigame by winning against Amina. To play the minigame, you will need to press R1, L1, L2, and R2 in a circular pattern. You do not need to do this on the beat like the piano minigame but you need to do it faster than your opponent.

If a button turns yellow, that means you have to tap it repeatedly. Pressing the wrong button or pressing too early will cause Tifa to recoil for several seconds, allowing the opponent to overtake you. Make sure to go at a nice and steady pace.
