The value under Hard Mode Total Party EXP indicates the amount of Party Level EXP you'll earn from completing all corresponding minigames in their Hard Mode difficulty.
Some minigames such as Fort Condor, Cactuar Crush, or Gears and Gambits can be unlocked by completing the Phenomenon Intels found in the Junon, Corel, and Cosmo Canyon regions.
Additionally, the Hard Modes for these minigames can also be unlocked by completing all Phenomenon Intels found within the region and winning all four rounds of each minigame. Note that this is separate from the Hard Mode difficulty setting unlocked after completing the main story, and you don't need to set the game's difficulty to Hard to play the Hard Mode versions of the Phenomenon Intel Minigames.
Completing these minigames in their Hard Mode difficulty will earn you additional Party EXP, so be sure to revisit these minigames and beat their Hard Mode versions to increase your overall Party Level.

Completing World Intel will earn you a high amount of Party EXP, so we recommend that you finish the available World Intel you encounter along the way when you explore the regions in the game.
Fiend Intel gives out 10 EXP after being completed, provided that you've accomplished every objective stated. Otherwise, it will only give out 5 EXP if only some of the objectives were met.
For other World Intel, each one of them will give out 5 EXP for your Party Level.

Completing the main storyline of the game will help you acquire EXP to increase your Party Level, given that each main story boss you encounter and defeat (starting from Chapter 2, when Party EXP is unlocked) will earn you a 50 EXP to your Party Level.
Progressing the story also means you will be able to recruit new party members that will join you on your quest. Each new member you recruit in your party will earn you 100 EXP.

Completing various World Intels can help you gain Party EXP. There are plenty of these scattered throughout all regions, and each of them will reward you with Party EXP. Make sure not to skip any of these per region, especially if you're farming for Party EXP.
As part of the World Intel, Fiend Intel will also reward you with Party XP. However, to maximize the Party XP gained from each of these intel, make sure that you complete all objectives. Otherwise, it will only reward you with 5 EXP instead of 10.

Completing Odd Jobs will also reward you with Party EXP. You can earn up to 10 Party EXP from these sidequests, which are available as soon as you start Chapter 2. It's advisable to complete these quests before advancing in the main campaign to develop characters and unlock more of their skills.

Defeating bosses can also provide a significant amount of Party EXP upon their defeat. These bosses are linked to the main chapters, so be sure to prepare first before engaging them in combat.
Boss Fight Guide and List of All Bosses
Party Level represents the collective experience of your entire party. It doesn't increase through the usual EXP gained from battles. Instead, it can only be raised through the methods mentioned above.
With a higher Party Level, you can unlock Stat Boosts, Abilities, and Synergy Abilities. This provides a great opportunity to diversify your character's moveset for each combat encounter or tailor them for specific offensive or defensive strategies.
