Overview of Combat Styles

Active Combat Style for Manual Control

The active combat style lets players manually control your character's actions. This means that the player must make an input on their controller for the character to do anything. This style is suited for players who enjoy action-based combat where they get to do everything themselves.

Classic Combat Style for Automated Actions

On the other hand, the classic combat style makes automated actions for the character. It lets them attack, move, and block automatically based on the AI. This is recommended for players who prefer turn-based combat, and would want to focus on issuing commands. However, you can still override the AI and manually control the character.

How to Change Combat Styles

Change Styles in the Gameplay Settings

You can change combat styles by heading into the system settings. Once there, go to the gameplay tab and look for Combat Styles. Note that you can only switch styles when outside of combat.
