Obtained in Naku Kubel in Shadows of the Past Main Quest

Star of Unbeing can be obtained during Shadows of the Past in Naku Kubel, Shatterscarp. The quest starts after the events at Ryngrim's Domain.
After the Trial of Strength, turn left after exiting the corridor. The unique weapon can be picked up on top of the altar near the balcony.

Annihilation applies Poison effects on nearby enemies more consistently than the alternative, Withering Miasma. This is because it takes just one Power Attack to automatically deal high accumulation to nearby enemies, as opposed to a lingering area that enemies have to walk into.
