Use Synergy Skills and Synergy Abilities Destroy its wings when it uses Particle Charge
|
Scattered particles will attach themselves to you if touched and explode after a certain amount of time. Using syngergy skills or synergy abilities will pressure Bahamut Arisen, remove any attached particles, and eliminate any others floating around.
All Synergy Skills and How to Use
Use wind spells to exploit elemental weakness Block or evade certain attacks and counterattack Destroy its barrier
|
Exploiting its elemental weakness, blocking or evading certain attacks, and counterattacking it will pressure it. Destroying its barrier will pressure it for longer than usual.
How to Pressure and Stagger Enemies
Recommended Party Setup | |
---|---|
Cloud | Main DPS ・ Counter Bahamut's attacks with Counterfire to break its wings Recommended Level: 65 |
Aerith | Magic DPS / Support ・ Destroy Bahamut's wings with strong Lightning spells ・ Attack Titan with Wind spells ・ Heal and buff allies Recommended Level: 65 |
Yuffie | Sub DPS ・ Exploit Titan's Wind weakness with Blindside, Windstorm, and Elemental Ninjutsu Recommended Level: 65 |
Cloud has Synergy Skills with both Aerith and Yuffie to help you quickly pressure Bahamut Arisen. He can then follow up with Focused Thrust to stagger it.
Aerith will act as the main healer of the party so that you can sustain throughout the fight. She can also buff allies or debuff enemies, and deal considerable Wind damage against Titan.
Yuffie having Doppleganger significantly increases her damage output, which makes her great in destroying Titan's barrier or Bahamut's wings. She also has access to various Wind abilities, like Blindside and Windstorm, to exploit Titan's Wind weakness.

Cloud should have Wind and Elemental materia linked so that all of his weapon attacks will deal a percentage of Wind damage. Also equip Enemy Skill materia so that you have access to Sonic Boom, which grants Faith and Bravery while dealing Wind damage.
For the flexible materia slots, it is nice to have HP Up, Spirit Up, and Vitality Up to increase Cloud's survivability against Bahamut and Titan's attacks.

Healing and Magnify lets you efficiently heal your party since Aerith has a slow ATB charge rate. Attaching Lightning and Wind with Synergy also lets her deal consistent damage every time you use an ability without having her spend her ATB charges.
The rest of the materia is there to further support her party members by reviving or buffing them. It is also great to have First Strike so she can put down her ward immediately.

Yuffie should equip Wind linked with Elemental so that all of her attacks will deal some Wind damage as well. It would also be good to have Barrier and Magnify to efficiently reduce the amount of damage your party will take against strong attacks.
Another good materia to have is Item Master since to boost the effectiveness of recovery and support items. First Strike is also great to have on her so that she could immediately have her Doppleganger up to deal more damage.
Titan and Bahamut Arisen Boss Fight Tips |
---|
|
In the Tempering Trial, you will face against both Bahamut Arisen and Titan at the same time. You will need to first destroy the Pulse of Violence or the Pulse of Defiance that is shielding both bosses. You only need to focus on destroying one Pulse to destroy both shields.
Once the Pulse is gone, the boss whose shield you broke will become pressured, so take the opportunity to stagger them by spamming Focused Thrust.
Combat Simulator Boss Fights | |
---|---|
Bahamut Arisen | Titan |
Other than the new Pulse mechanic, the bosses will act similarly to when you fought them individually in the combat simulator. You can refer to the previous boss fights for more details about each boss.
The first priority in the fight is to focus on defeating Bahamut first. This is because his ultimate move, Gigaflare, can kill your party members in one hit. With that, whenever it uses Particle Charge, prioritize destorying its wings by using strong airborne abilities or spells to prevent it.
Additionally, you can also negate Gigaflare by equipping Revival Earrings for your party members, although it can only revive your characters once. You can buy the earrings from accessory shops or vending machines, and it can be crafted with the item transmuter.
Revival Earrings Effects and How to Get
Titan has less HP compared to Bahamut, so if you can defeat it quickly, it is better to take him down first by abusing his Wind weakness with either Yuffie and Cloud, while your other characters distract Bahamut. This is especially because you can prevent Gigaflare by interrupting Bahamut's Particle Charge anyways.
Although, if you have difficulty taking him down fast, it would be recommended to focus on Bahamut Arisen instead. Make sure to switch characters though whenever Titan starts attacking your controlled character so that you do not get interrupted by his attacks.

Nice write up. I see why I'm having trouble with them, being level 56 and not leveled up my purple UP and some of my blue materias all the way yet. Thanks!
