Alexander will be immune to all attacks unless Pressured. To do this, target and cripple its right and left arm and strike with all your might!
To Pressure Odin, just keep on attacking him with ATB abilities until he uses Sleipnir's Furor. However, dodge as many of his attacks as you can to avoid trigerring Zantetsuken, a move that can one-shot your whole party!
How to Pressure and Stagger Enemies
Recommended Party Setup | |
---|---|
Cloud | DPS for Odin / Support ・ Fight Odin with counterattacks ・ Gains ATB quickly to stagger enemies or help allies Recommended Level: 65 |
Yuffie | Main DPS / Support ・ Can land continuous attacks from a distance, which helps you evade Odin's attacks ・ Gains ATB quickly and safely, allowing her to deal damage or recover allies depending on the situation Recommended Level: 65 |
Aerith | Magic DPS ・ Deals the strongest magic damage but has slow ATB charge ・ Spells and Attacks are strong enough to pressure or stagger the bosses Recommended Level: 65 |
Utilize Cloud's abilities like Prime Mode, Infinity's End, and Braver when a boss is staggered to deal huge damage. With this, he can easily finish them off.
You can also use Cloud to fight Odin one-on-one. Be sure to equip the Precision Defense Focus materia to improve your blocking capabilities. After successfully blocking, use Braver to deal damage.
Taking too many hits from Odin will easily trigger Zantetsuken, a move that can one-shot your whole party. To prevent this, have Yuffie attack from a safe distance with her Shuriken and keep on evading the entity's attacks!
Aerith can easily pressure both bosses since her spells will deal significantly more magic damage than Yuffie or Cloud. Make sure to have Arcane Ward and an ATB charge ready so that you can cast a spell when there is an opening.

Precision Defense Focus is important in this build for Cloud to counter Odin's blockable attacks. Be sure to equip the Lightning + Elemental Materia, plus the Enemy Parts Damage Up weapon skill against Alexander.

The main goal for Yuffie's build is to have as much ATB as possible to easily access her abilities. This will improve damage-over-time against both entities.

Aerith can support Cloud and Yuffie with the Time materia so they can easily gain ATB against Odin.
Cast Arcane Ward and use Lightning against Alexander to easily cripple its arms. Also make sure to use Aerith to heal the party whenever needed.
Alexander and Odin Boss Fight Tips |
---|
|
Alexander will stay in place for most of the fight. With this in mind, it's better to lure Odin away to isolate the fight and reduce the threat of Alexander interrupting your attacks.
Make sure to constantly use Cloud or Yuffie's ATB abilities and dodge Odin's attacks to avoid him using his ultimate move. His playstyle will be largely the same from the Battle Simulator. Check out our guide on how to beat Odin here:
Occasionally, Odin will suddenly vanish. When he does, you can now focus your attention on Alexander's arms. To improve your DPS, have Aerith cast Arcane Ward on herself and use Thunder to cast the spell twice in one turn.
As with Odin, the playstyle for Alexander will be largely the same from the Battle Simulator. Check out our guide on how to beat Alexander here:
During the fight, make sure to cast Planet's Protection, Aerith's Limit Break skill, to negate most of Odin's attacks. This will make the fight easier since you will only need to focus on dodging Alexander's attacks at that point.
You can build up Aerith's Limit Break quickly by using Synergy Abilities that increases her limit, such as Firework Blade with Cloud.

This mechanical giant is the manifestation of humanity's judgement, bestowing either salvation or condemnation upon those who survive its trial. / This knight claims war and death as his domain, and atop his faithful steed Sleipnir, he rides into battle and rends his foes asunder. The entity will be largely immune to all attacks until both its arms are crippled. Casting Esuna can remove one level of karma. / Landing ATB commands, evading attacks, or inflicting detrimental status effects will put Odin on the backfoot, both thrilling and pressuring him. |
