How to Get Anextli’s Grimoire
Obtained From the Pyromancer

Anextli's Grimoire can be obtained next to the skeleton of the Crazed Pyromancer. From Dehengen's Cottage, travel northeast to witness a fire magic accident. Collect the unique grimoire near their remains, in addition to the Pyromancer's Key and an Essence Potion.
How to Get the Anextli's Grimoire

| 1 |  Fast travel to Dehengen's Cottage in the western area of Dawnshore. Face east and cross the bridge, then turn left and cross the next bridge heading north. |
| 2 |  Turn right after exiting the bridge, then take another right before the cemetery. Jump across the wooden platform and continue, then take a left towards the upward slope. |
| 3 |  After scaling the slope, ignore the bridge and turn right. A voiceline from the Crazed Pyromancer will trigger when nearby. Collect the Anextli's Grimoire next to their remains afterwards. |

Cost: 10 Essence Cooldown: 15 seconds Invokes a powerful arcane shield for 20 seconds that makes your spell casting Uninterruptable and increases your Damage Reduction by 25%. |
 Grimoire Snap
|
Cost: 35 Essence Cooldown: 20 seconds Forcefully snap your grimoire shut, expelling a shockwave of Explosive Damage that knocks nearby enemies back and deals Stun. Requires Grimoire Mastery Rank 1 |
 Missile Salvo
|
Cost: 75 Essence Cooldown: 20 seconds Conjures a sphere of arcane energy that rises upwards, unleashing a destructive volley of missiles that seeks nearby enemies. Requires Grimoire Mastery Rank 2 |
Equip Grimoires in the off-hand slot to gain access to its innate abilities. Spells unlocked within the Wizard tree increase in potency when used via a Grimoire.
Note that some spells require the Grimoire Mastery passive at a certain rank to use.

Weapons can be upgraded in the Workbench, requiring Metal or Wood and Herbs of equal rarity to do so. Upgrading Weapons increases its stats, raising its effectiveness in combat.

| The grimoire belonged to a renowned elementalist from the Ixamitl Plains. Their personal philosophy was that the true path to mastering the arcane arts was in balancing the use of elements. Focusing or relying too heavily on one element would inevitably cause a practitioner to find themselves in a situation where they could do nothing against the dangers arrayed against them. Whether this philosophy holds much value is to be debated, for Anextli's name has mostly faded away into obscurity while more focused archmages such as Ryngrim, Ninagauth, and Kalakoth are still widely known. | |
