What is Theoretical Data?

Theoretical Data Calculates Using Buildings

Factories for Automated Item Crafting

Theoretical Data is the theoretical maximum of all your production lines after all buildings are connected and recipes are set in each one. After testing, it seems the game auto-calculates after you have powered the facility and connected it to a material source.

Current Data is Real Time

Spikes in Usage

Current Data tells how your factory is running in real time within a certain time span set on the lower right section of the Report Screen. The section shows the current status of your production line and how much material your factory is using and producing in real time.

Current Data is affected by the ramping-up nature of factory games, where you would see how your production improves or declines over time.

Should You Follow Theoretical or Current?

Check Theoretical First

Considering how the game calculates the data, it is more reliable to check Theoretical Data first and be wary if your usage is more than yield. This is a good indicator that your general production line is going to fail in the long run, so fix it immediately if you see that you're on the red.

Monitor Current Data

Current Data approaches Theoretical MAX

With how Current Data work, it is best to use it as an indicator if your current state is improving or not. This will always trend towards the Theoretical Data on the right.

This section shows the current trend of that material, and if you are depleting your reserves more than you replenish it. Your factory may work now, but will only run until your reserves run out.
