What Kind of Character Are They? | ・A Water Type Legendary Hero ・Can attack twice while preventing an enemy follow-up attack ・Very useful special skill that grants additional movement |
Might: 9 Range: 2 Effective against flying foes. Inflicts Spd-5. Unit attacks twice (even if foe initiates combat). When under player's control, unit gains: "If unit initiates combat, foe cannot make a follow-up attack." |
Cooldown Count = 3 At the start of turn 1, grants Special cooldown count-1. If unit initiates combat and Special is triggered, grants unit another action after combat. (Activates after combat where Special is triggered. Once per turn.) When Special triggers, inflicts "restricts movement to 1 space on unit and Pair Up cohort through their next action. |
At start of combat, if unit's HP ≥ 25%, grants Atk/Res+7, but after combat, if unit attacked, deals 5 damage to unit. |
At the start of turn 1, restores 99 HP and grants Special cooldown count -1. |
Grants Atk+4 to allies within 2 spaces during combat. If unit is within 2 spaces of an ally, grants Atk+4 to unit during combat. |

◯ = Stat gains +4 with a superboon, ✕= Stat goes down by -4 with a superbane, - = No assets or flaws
See the IV Checker for All Units | Trait Fruits—How to Change IVs |
When using an Ascendant Floret, we recommend getting the next superboon if it fits the hero. If not, consider what stat your hero needs most.
Legendary Leif's best IVs are +Atk and -Spd. With an asset in Atk, Leif gains Atk+4, and thanks to the effect of Meisterbogen which allows him to attack twice, this means he will essentially deal 8 extra damage per attack with this boon. Since his Spd stat is very low and not really used anyway, it is the ideal dump stat.
If you are trying for a +10 merged Leif, we recommend a +Atk IV. With 10 merges and a +Atk IV, Legendary Leif's Atk stat will reach 55, allowing him to OHKO a large number of his enemies. However, he will still struggle to take down high Def foes, so pairing him with a strong magic attacker is ideal.

This build is aimed at getting the most out of Njörun's Zeal II. Various Atk/Def skills are equipped to boost Leif's Atk as much as possible and get KOs. Atk/Res variants can be used instead if you want to opt for magical bulk.

:
S Drink
:
-
|
This is a low investment build for Legendary Leif. Meisterbogen always fires twice, so slapping on the Since S Drink and Njörun's Zeal II lower special cooldown on the first turn, Leif can trigger his Special immediately.

This is a Vantage build for Legendary Leif. Close Salvo allows counterattacks at any range, boosts Atk which is dealt twice with Meisterbogen, and works on both phases. The recoil damage helps bring Leif into Vantage range sooner. Panic Smoke 4 is used to soften enemies for his Vantage attacks to hopefully KO his enemies.

Deadeye

|
This is an offensive build for Legendary Leif that takes out Njörun's Zeal in favor of Deadeye for one-shots. A/D Near Trace gives him the mobility he needs, while Death Blow 4 ups his Atk to have him hit harder. Heavy Blade still servers as his seal in order to trigger Deadeye every combat.
Exclusive Weapon Effect from Refining (Special Effect Type) | |

SP: 400 | |
Might: 14 Range: 2 HP: Effective against flying foes. Inflicts Spd-5. Unit attacks twice (even if foe initiates combat). When under player's control, unit gains: "If unit initiates combat, foe cannot make a follow-up attack." If unit initiates combat or is within 2 spaces of an ally, grants Atk/Spd/Def/Res+4 to unit, deals damage = 10% of foe's Atk (including when dealing damage with a Special triggered before combat), and neutralizes effects that inflict "Special cooldown charge -X" on unit during combat. :500 :200 |
|
Refined Meisterbogen grants bonus stats, deals bonus true damage, and neutralizes effects that slow down his Special charges.
This refine allows him to reliably charge up Njörun's Zeal II through his brave effect and is definitely worth using.

Note: Stats bonuses from skills are not taken into account.
Legendary Leif is a ranged physical attack phase unit. Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage he deals will be equivalent to his Atk minus the foe's Def.

As a Legendary Hero, you will gain a Water Blessing when summoning Legendary Leif. Additionally, being a Water type Legendary Hero means that during Water Seasons, other allies with a Water Blessing will receive HP+3 when they appear in battle with Legendary Leif, and Leif's total stats will be treated as 175. This will lead to a higher Arena Score.
Legendary Leif's exclusive weapon Meisterbogen will allow him to attack twice in succession. Unlike Brave Bow, however, this effect is not only when initiating combat, but triggers when the foe initiates combat as well, making it a very powerful ranged weapon. Additionally, it has the effect of preventing a foe's follow-up attack, meaning that you can safely attack foes with Quick Riposte or Vengeful Fighter without fear of a strong follow-up attack.
Poor Bernie could not withstand the sheer power of Meisterbogen!
S Drink taking effect in the form of a 99HP heal and a Special cooldown boost in the first turn. This can be very helpful in consecutive map battles.
Legendary Leif has the exclusive special skill Njörun's Zeal II, which, if Leif initiates combat, will grant him an additional action when triggered. With a low cooldown of 3, and the Time's Pulse effects on both S Drink and Njörun's Zeal II itself, it is rather easy to trigger at the beginning of each map.
After defeating a foe with Njörun's Zeal II, Leif is left in a very advantageous position. He can either take out the next foe to clinch the victory, or he can return to safety thanks to Flayn's Ground Orders. This simple situation illustrate Njörun's Zeal's great strategic value.
Legendary Leif's Spd stat is practically useless. He will have to endure a follow-up from most attacking enemies, so he generally should not be used as an enemy-phase unit. The basic plan with Leif is to attack, then make use of movement/refresher assists, Njörun's Zeal II or a skill like Ground Orders 3 to get him out of the Danger Area.
Of course this would not be much of a problem if you choose to run a Close Counter-Vantage build since that would turn him into an enemy phase-centered unit.
As a cavalry unit, Legendary Leif will take massive damage from weapons like Ridersbane which are effective on cavalry units. Units like Micaiah are very powerful cavalry counters, so stay away from their range of fire. Be sure and check your foes' weapons beforehand.
All Heroes with Effective Skills
Corrin (M) | Legendary Eliwood | Masquerade Sigurd | Valentine's Líf |
Brave Lucina | Reinhardt | New Year Peony | Brave Lyn |
Due to his Special, Legendary Leif will be able to at least take out two enemy units in one turn.
Pair him with a dancer that has an insane range of movement like Masquerade Sigurd and he'll be able to take more actions. Do note that any other dancer will work with him.
With a full cavalry team, Legendary Leif can have access to cavalry-specific buffs like Hone Cavalry and Goad Cavalry to give him more firepower.
Legendary Eliwood can provide him with even more buffs due to his weapon giving the bonus doubler effect.
Other cavalry teammates can be equally powerful, one-shot units like Brave Lyn, Valentine's Líf, and Reinhardt.
Another way to provide Legendary Leif with more buffs is to pair or Ally Support him with either Brave Lucina or Corrin (M), whose weapons give buffs to their allies.
Lyon | Brave Hector | Robin (M) | Cecilia |
Nagi | Fallen Lyon | Brave Edelgard | Bridal Micaiah |
Units that give weapon triangle-advantage over colorless units are very effective against Legendary Leif, as well as cavalry-effective weapons.
These units should be able to deal with Legendary Leif over the player phase, with a unit like Cecilia able to cross the map quickly to reach him.
Since Legendary Leif is a physical ranged unit, tanks with high Def are recommended when facing him.
You can have an entire armor team waiting for him and having a unit packing a Distant Counter effect will ensure they can retaliate and possibly one-shot him when he attacks.
Brave Hector works well as Ostian Counter gives him even more Def. Nagi is also very effective, as her Ethereal Breath also grants her weapon triangle-advantage over colorless units.

You can inherit Atk/Res Push 4 from Legendary Leif. However, he is a very powerful unit, so we recommend keeping and building him before foddering off or merging any duplicates.
If you want to get Def Smoke 3 too, you can inherit Atk/Res Push 3 from another unit so that you can get all 3 entries from Leif.
Legendary Leif is a limited time Hero who can be pulled from a Legendary Hero Summoning event. They do not appear in regular summons.
