Stat | Superboon/Superbane | IV Recommendation |

Def (9) | ★★★☆☆ | |
Res (3) | ★☆☆☆☆ |
◯ = Stat gains +4 with a superboon, ✕= Stat goes down by -4 with a superbane, - = No assets or flaws
See the IV Checker for All Units | Trait Fruits—How to Change IVs |
When using an Ascendant Floret, we recommend getting the next superboon if it fits the hero. If not, consider what stat your hero needs most.
Legendary Eliwood's best IVs are +Atk and -Res. With his superboon in Atk, L!Eliwood gains +4 in Atk, allowing him to increase his overall damage output significantly. His Res stat is rather low to begin with, so it is an ideal dump stat.
If you are building a +10 merged L!Eliwood, we recommend +Spd. At +10 merges, his Spd stat will reach 41, allowing him to gain a follow-up attack on most foes. However, if you are more concerned with the power of each attack, you may want to go with +Atk instead.

This build focuses on pure support by increasing HP to trigger Pulse Tie reliably. The stats from R Duel Cavalry make it strictly better than another HP +5 in the A slot, but HP +5 can also be used if on a budget. As for the Pulse Tie skill, Even is better in Aether Raids, while Odd is better in Summoner Duels.

SP: 400 | |
Might: 16 Range: 1 HP: 3 Grants Atk+3. At start of turn, grants 【Bonus Doubler】to unit and ally with the highest Atk (excluding unit). At start of combat, if unit's HP ≥ 25%, grants Atk/Spd/Def/Res+4 to unit during combat. If unit initiates combat or is within 2 spaces of an ally, grants Atk/Spd/Def/Res+4 to unit and neutralizes foe's bonuses (from skills like Fortify, Rally, etc.) during combat, and deals damage = 15% of foe's Def (including as part of Specials that trigger before combat). :500 :200 |
|
Refined Ardent Durandal grants the 【Bonus Doubler】 effect to both Legendary Eliwood and his ally with the highest Atk, neutralizes foes bonuses, grants Atk/Spd/Def/Res+8 during combat, and deals true damage equal to 15% of his foe's Def.
This refine makes Legendary Eliwood combat capable, making him a versatile unit that can both support his allies and dish out damage himself.

Note: Stats bonuses from skills are not taken into account.
Legendary Eliwood is a close ranged physical attack phase unit. Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage he deals will be equivalent to his Atk minus the foe's Def.

Since Eliwood is a legendary hero, you will receive a Wind Blessing when summoning him. L!Eliwood is a Wind-Type Legendary Hero, so during wind season, units blessed with the wind blessing that appear in the same team as Eliwood will gain HP+3, and L!Eliwood's stats will also be treated as 175 for matchmaking. This is a great skill for getting a higher score in Arena Battles.
L!Eliwood's exclusive weapon Ardent Durandal will grant Bonus Doubler to the ally with the highest Atk. Bonus Doubler will allow the bonuses added on from skills like Hone or Fortify to double during combat, which will greatly increase that units ability to take down foes.
The C Skill Vision of Arcadia will give an Atk/Def+6 buff to the ally with the highest Atk for a turn. Since this will go to the same unit that receives the effects of Ardent Durandal, the party member with the highest Atk will end up with a total of Atk/Def+12. In order for this skill to trigger, there must be a dragon or beast on your team, so make sure to consider this when making your party.
Rally Spd/Res+ is the final form of Rally Spd/Res. If this bonus is used on the ally who receives the effects of Bonus Doubler, they will receive a bonus of Spd/Res+12. When combined with the effects of Vision of Arcadia, this will give an ally +12 on all stats. With these skills in his kit, L!Eliwood is an incredible support unit.
L!Eliwood has Death Blow 4, which will give him Atk+8 when initiating combat. This significantly increases his offensive capability, so he can play both a support and attacker role in his teams.
As a cavalry unit, L!Eliwood will take massive damage from weapons like Ridersbane which are effective on cavalry units. In particular, Brave Eliwood or Micaiah can easily sweep Eliwood. Be sure and check your foes' weapons beforehand.

Legendary Eliwood can fit in a wide variety of teams as he can mostly take care of himself.
He can be paired with those that can boost their firepower even more, litaking advantage of the Bonus Doubler effect on his Ardent Durandal or any of the dancers above.

Ursula | Panne | Legendary Julia | Tsubasa |
As a cavalry unit, Legendary Eliwood is weak to weapons that are effective against cavalry as he takes 1.5x more damage.
Due to his low Res, Legendary Eliwood will struggle against high power mages such like Reinhardt and Legendary Julia, who have a potential to one-shot him when they attack.
