See the IV Checker for All Units Trait Fruits—How to Change IVs

When using an Ascendant Floret, we recommend getting the next superboon if it fits the hero. If not, consider what stat your hero needs most.

+Atk/-Spd

Reinhardt's best IVs are hands down +Atk and -Spd. Reinhardt's main strength lies in his ability to attack twice with Dire Thunder, so even a small change to his Atk stat greatly changes his overall ability. As long as he has +Atk, his bane is not really of much significance, but since his Spd stat is practically useless, it is the ideal bane.

Reinhardt Best Builds

Death Blow Reinhardt

HOT
Assist Skill IconDraw Back
Special Skill IconMoonbow
Emblem Icon: -
Attuned Skill Icon: -

How to Use, Explanation

This is the most well known Reinhardt build out there. With Reinhardt's high Atk stat and ability to attack twice with Dire Thunder, inheriting Death Blow (3 if 4 is unavailable) makes him an arena monster. For this build to work properly, it is absolutely essential to have a Reinhardt with an Atk boon, so when unlocking potential, be sure and check his IVs first.
Lancebreaker is a skill that can be used to allow Reinhardt to easily defeat Res tank lance units like Sigurd, although Wings of Mercy could also be used to increase his mobility. While his C slot is flexible, if you are running him with other cavalry units, his default Goad Cavalry will work well, although a skill like Savage Blow will also him to damage other foes.

PvE Reinhardt

Assist Skill IconDraw Back
Special Skill IconMoonbow
Emblem Icon: -
Attuned Skill Icon: -

How to Use, Explanation

This skillset will allow you to dominate Grand Hero Battles and other high difficulty one player quests. Since Reinhardt can essentially run around the map and take out whatever foes appear, Savage Blow lets him chip away at nearby enemies with high HP reservoirs. The B skill may change depending on the particular quest, so something like B. Tomebreaker can be useful against blue mages, but for other quests, you may wish to change it for something else.

Speedhart Reinhardt

Special Skill IconLuna
Emblem Icon: -
Attuned Skill Icon: -

How to Use, Explanation

This is the speed meme build for Reinhardt. Due to the increased stats on his Resplendent version, a neutral +10 merged Reinhardt can hit about 46 Spd with this build. You can also take Lull Spd skills if you have them

Arena Reinhardt

Emblem Icon: -
Attuned Skill Icon: -

How to Use, Explanation

This build maximizes Arena scoring while keeping Reinhardt's nuking prowess mostly intact. A/R Far Trace 3 is used instead of Lull Atk/Res 3 in order to move Reinhardt to safety after he deletes a key target off the map.

Reinhardt is a ranged magic attacker (range = 2). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage he deals will be equivalent to his Atk minus the foe's Res stat. In addition, he possesses an exclusive weapon that allows him to attack twice in a row.

Reinhardt's Strengths

Reinhardt Combat Screen

Successive attacks with his Exclusive Skill Dire Thunder!

Above all, Reinhardt's massive strength lies in his exclusive skill Dire Thunder, which lets him attack twice in a row, regardless of Spd. This lets him OHKO practically any red unit, while also being able to obliterate most units regardless of their color, save for those with very high Res stats. Reinhardt is one of the heaviest hitters you are likely to encounter in Arena Battles.

Has the powerful Passive B Skill Vantage

With his default B Skill Vantage equipped, Reinhardt can counterattack an enemy before their attack when he has less than 75%. If you are able to manage his HP amount efficiently, this skill will allow you to ensure you can bring down an enemy even when defending.

Can buff other cavalry allies with Goad Cavalry

His default C skill Goad Cavalary will power up the Atk/Spd of nearby cavalry allies. Since this affects allies within two spaces during combat, it is a very easy to use skill. If you wish to use an all cavalry team, this is a great skill to include on Reinhardt to ensure his allies pack a little extra power.

Reinhardt's Weaknesses

Awful Spd Stat

Reinhardt's Spd stat is practically useless. He will have to endure a follow-up from most attacking enemies, so he generally should not be used as an enemy-phase unit. The basic plan with Reinhardt is to attack, then make use of movement/refresher assists to get him out of the Danger Area.

Vantage has poor synergy with Reinhardt

Dire Thunder lets Reinhardt attack twice in a row only when initiating combat. This means that when using Vantage to counterattack first, he will attack once, then generally be taken out. Reinhardt is much better as an attack phase unit, so this skill should definitely be swapped out in favor of something else.

Heroes with calvary-buffs and high mobility

Since he is a cavalry unit, he can be further powered up with skills like Goad Cavalry or Hone Cavalry. Using other heroes with high mobility to power him up and help him escape the enemy line of fire makes Reinhardt excellent when paired with other cavalry units.

Heroes who can safely take down green units

While Reinhardt's offensive capability is unrivaled, his defensive stats leave a bit to be desired, and a hit from a powerful green foe will easily sweep him. For this reason, it is wise to have a strong red unit like Sword Reinhardt or Lethe on the same team to take down these units for him, allowing him to survive longer and take down the remaining units.

Units with very high offensive or Res stats

Despite Reinhardt's powerful attacks, units like Fallen Tiki are sometimes able to withstand him in combat. In particular, he needs to watch out for heroes that have a high Res stat and some type of Distant Counter in their arsenal, as they can turn the tables on Reinhardt. Additionally, units who, similarly to Reinhardt, have high damage output and mobility can take him down, so it is usually best to attack foes while also keeping as far away from them as possible.

Reinhardt as a Source Hero

Value of Skills ★★★★☆

Inheriting Vantage 3 or Blazing Thunder

If you wish to use Reinhardt as a source hero, we recommend taking the skills Vantage 3 and Blazing Thunder. However, Reinhardt is quite the powerful unit, so before foddering him off, we recommend promoting at least one unit to 5 stars and building his skillset.

When I was young, my young sister, Olwen, followed me everywhere.
As her elder brother, I felt it my duty to guide her path in life, helping her at every turn.
But I now realize I wasn’t doing it just for Olwen, nor was I even leading as much as I thought.
It was more like she and I each had our own path, though equally high standards.
You have helped me understand that at last. You and I—different, yet fully committed.
What an ideal way to grow—neither leading nor following, but walking together. I thank you.
