Brave Lyn is a ranged physical attacker (Range = 2). When the effects of the Weapon Triangle are not taken into account, the damage she deals will be equal to her Atk minus the foes's Def. Additionally, she has skills which give her bonuses, a powerful exclusive B skill, and enemy debuff skills.

Brave Lyn Strengths

In the top class of cavalry and bow units

B!Lyn is one of the best cavalry and one of the best bow units. Being able to move three spaces and attack from two spaces away is in itself very threatening. With a bow like Firesweep Bow or Brave Bow equipped, and powered up via Hone Cavalry, she is a very powerful force on any map.

Prevents follow-up attacks from close-physical attackers

B!Lyn's B Skill Sacae's Blessing will allow her to attack sword/axe/lance users without risk of a counterattack. This allows her to effectively counter units like Legendary Ike and Brave Hector who can normally counter from any range.

Weapon skill nullifies the power of Blade-Tomes

Her exclusive weapon Mulagir will nullify the bonuses on magic attackers from skils like Fortify and Rally. Weapons like Blade Tomes rely on these bonuses, so this skill pretty much renders them useless.

Brave Lyn Weaknesses

Weak to cavalry-effective skills

B!Lyn is a cavalry unit, so she will take a ton of damage from weapons like Ridersbane. Be sure and check what weapons your foes are wielding beforehand.

Weak to Bow Breaker

When a foe has the B Skill Bow Breaker, Lyn will be unable to get a follow-up attack, and unable to make use of her excellent Spd stat. This can be dealt with by instead having B!Lyn inherit a Brave Bow.

Flying units with refresher assists

B!Lyn is a high mobility unit who can extend her reach all over the map. Having a refresher on the same team will allow her to get all over the map and take on multiple foes per turn. When transformed, Reyson and Leanne can move 3 spaces, and are great at keeping up with Lyn to give her extra mobility.

Units with cavalry-exclusive buffs

With her high offensive stats, a powerful buff or two will make Lyn extremely lethal. B!Lyn is great in all-cavalry parties, as her allies can buff her and help her to reach foes from the first turn to take them out.

Units with very high defensive stats

B!Lyn has excellent offensive stats, but since she does not have color advantage over any other foes, she will struggle to deal heavy damage on units with very high Def. Units like Lukas and Idunn will not take any damage from her normal attacks, so be sure to only strike them when Lyn's special is ready.

Dragons who can counterattack at any range

B!Lyn's defensive stats are pretty low, so if a non-physical attacker with Distant Counter has a change to counterattack, it could cause trouble for B!Lyn. In particular, the Tikis (Legendary/Fallen) and other manaketes often deal damage to the lower of their foe's Def or Res, so a counterattack from them will be fatal.
