When using an Ascendant Floret, we recommend getting the next superboon if it fits the hero. If not, consider what stat your hero needs most.
+Atk/-Spd
The best IVs for Valentine's Lif are +Atk and -Spd.
His kit revolves around dealing large amounts of damage while buffing himself and debuffing enemies. He also has guaranteed follow-up attack through his weapon's effect if he is within 4 spaces of an ally.
Because his Spd is already pretty low, it's alright to take it as a bane as Líf does not need it to score follow-ups or trigger any of his abilities.
+Atk for a +10 Merge
For the same reasons stated above, it's highly recommended to increase this stat if you plan to +10 him. His attack goes up to 65 at max merges, possibly more if it's his boon, enabling a higher one-hit potential.

How to Use, Explanation
This is Valentine's Lif's base kit, which still functions somewhat decently against modern units. Simply add an Atk/Def Sacred Seal to improve his performance.

Refined Þjálfi has built-in 【Canto (Rem.; Min 1)】 and Slaying, improving his mobility and access to Specials simply by being refined.

Valentine's Líf Roles
Valentine's Líf is a ranged magic attacker (range = 2). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage he deals will be equivalent to his Atk minus the foe's Res stat.
Valentine's Líf Strengths
Massive Self-Buffs and Debuffs on Enemy Units
Refined Þjálfi has built-in 【Canto (Rem.; Min 1)】 and Slaying, improving his mobility and access to Specials simply by being refined.

Lif's Duo skill dealt 40 damage to the enemy team and inflicted -7 to their Atk and Spd as shown here.
Valentine's Líf's Duo Skill raises his arena score, in addition to dealing damage to several nearby enemy units. Duo Heroes have a Duo Skill which can be used without performing an action. Additionally, his Duel effect treats his stats as 190 in Arena modes, giving him a huge advantage over many other heroes
This Duo Skill deals damage to foes within 3 spaces (increasing with the amount of damage dealt to allies) and debuffs them.
You can read the in-game text for Valentine's Lif's duo skill and the duel component in this section! While the duel component is an arena-exclusive effect, the Duo Skill itself is usable anywhere.
Valentine's Líf Weaknesses
Weak to Cavalry-Effective Weapons
Valentine's Lif takes 1.5x damage from cavalry-effective weapons like Blárwolf+, Dark Spikes T, and Ridersbane+.
There are many cavalry-effective weapons in the game, so be careful and check which ones your enemy units are using!

If you are able to inherit Atk/Def Push 3 from another unit, you can get both skills from Valentine's Líf! However, Valentine's Líf is a powerful Duo hero whom you can only get from specific banners.

Think we should re-evaluate VLif. He is by far one of the strongest offensive units in the game. Even against bad matchups, his Duo skill can ensure that he can steal a kill 95% of the time. His weapon also makes him deceptively tanky.
