The best IVs for Summer Claude are +Spd and -HP. His Spd is a superboon and boosting it improves the performance of Frozen Delight.

His defensive stats are all serviceable, thus we chose HP as a bane because it is the easiest to patch using Legendary or Mythic blessing bonuses.

+Spd for a +10 merge

Summer Claude is a ranged physical attacker (range = 2). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage he deals will be equivalent to his Atk minus the foe's Def stat.

Summer Claude Strengths

Frozen Delight grants Canto, accelerated Special, and can potentially attack twice

Summer Claude ditches his bow in favor of some Frozen Delights. This blue dagger grants 【Canto (Rem.)】, accelerates his Special trigger, grants Atk/Spd buffs, and can allow him to attack twice.

The brave effect is conditional on Summer Claude meeting the threshold of 12 for total bonuses on himself and total penalties on foe. This requires some setup in order to be reliable, but using Menace skills makes this condition simple.

Fallen Star grants massive damage reduction and applies Gravity to his foes

Similar to his Legendary version, Summer Claude carries Fallen Star.

This skill grants the 【Fallen Star】 status which gives Summer Claude a massive 80% damage reduction and applies 【Gravity】 to his foe and all surrounding foes.

While Summer Claude's bulk may not look impressive, this skill alone improves his survivability by a ton.

Summer Claude Weaknesses

Fallen Star requires it to be triggered first

Fallen Star requires that Summer Claude attack first in order to receive the buff after combat.

This leaves him vulnerable if he is attacked first before he can attack himself.

Weak to Bows

As a flying unit, Summer Claude takes 1.5x damage from bows and weapons effective on flying units. Be sure to keep them out of the range of archers and leave them to other units.
