When using an Ascendant Floret, we recommend getting the next superboon if it fits the hero. If not, consider what stat your hero needs most.
The best IVs for Legendary Xander are +Spd and -Res. Spd helps him achieve follow-up attacks and is assisted by his high Spd stat, Atk/Spd Catch 4, and his exclusive skills.
Legendary Xander's Res is abysmal and cannot be salvaged, even with his damage reduction. It is the bane of choice.
We recommend +Spd when merging Legendary Xander up to +10. He needs the additional Spd to keep up with the fastest units in the metagame.

This build allows Legendary Xander to function both on player and enemy phase. Chivalry II's Momentum effect allows Xander to burst down his foes with quick Specials and retreat to safety afterwards.

Legendary Xander is a close physical attacker (range = 1). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage he/she deals will be equivalent to his/her Atk minus the foe's Def stat.
Legendary Xander inherits his father's axe in Ebon Bölverk. It grants Null Follow-Up】, and Special cooldown charge +1 per attack
to Xander and nearby allies at the start of each turn and grants Xander Atk/Spd/Def/Res+5 during combat and 7 HP post-combat healing.

Legendary Xander's exclusive B skill Chivalry II grants him 【Canto (Rem. +1; Min 2)】, allowing him to maneuver around the battlefield.
It also inflicts Atk/Spd/Def-5 onto Xander's foe during combat and grants Xander 50% damage reduction from attacks and area-of-effect Specials, bonus true damage based on his Atk, and Special cooldown reduction before Xander's first attack based on the number of spaces moved by the initiating unit (maximum of 3).
The Momentum effect is the most powerful part of this skill, allowing Xander to instantly charge up his Specials before his first attack. Pair this with the Canto effect, and Chivalry II becomes a skill perfect for hit-and-run strategies.
Legendary Xander takes 1.5x damage from cavalry-effective weapons like Thani or Binding Reginleif, and one blow from this type of weapon is sure to take him/her down. Make sure you know what weapons you are up against before hopping too far into the line of battle!

Legendary Xander has Atk/Spd Catch 4, Atk/Spd Excel, and C Feud 3 as valuable inheritance options.
C Feud 3 is a niche skill which performs well in Aether Raids defense, while Atk/Spd Excel is a more universal skill good on fast units.
Consider keeping a copy of Legendary Xander before foddering him off, since he is a strong unit on his own.
