Wolf's best IVs are +Atk and -Res . +Atk is a Superboon and boosts his already high Atk stat even further, allowing him to deal more damage per attack. His Res is a dump stat and boosting it will not change most of his matchups, thus it is safe to take as a bane.

+Atk for a +10 Merge Project

This is a more budget build that also maximizes Atk and Spd to allow Wolf to get KOs. Def/Res Snag lets Wolf perform supportive duties in case he isn't able to eliminate an enemy.

Wolf is a ranged physical attacker (range = 2). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage he deals will be equivalent to his Atk minus the foe's Def stat.

Wolf Strengths

Strong Offensive Unit

Wolf's Keen Coyote Bow is a strong offensive weapon perfect for eliminating enemies.

It grants a flat Atk+3 no matter what, and then Atk/Spd+6 and a Desperation effect if Wolf's HP ≥ 25% and he initiates combat.

Wolf's native Life and Death 4 also works well with Keen Coyote Bow.

The bulk reduction drawbacks of using Life and Death 4 don't matter if Wolf attacks consecutively and eliminates his foe before they can counterattack!

Def/Res Snag Reduces Foe's Stats

Wolf also comes with Def/Res Snag 3, which can reduce the Def and Res on the nearest foes within 4 spaces of both Wolf and the target unit of a movement Assist skill.

Wolf also comes with Reposition, which activates Def/Res Snag 3 when used!

When Wolf is not in range to kill an enemy with his offensive prowess, he can support his team by reducing the stats of his foes instead.

Wolf Weaknesses

Weak to Cavalry Effective Weapons

Wolf takes 1.5x damage from cavalry-effective weapons like Ridersbane or a Wolf weapon like Rauðrwolf+, and one blow from this type of weapon is sure to take him down. Make sure you know what weapons you are up against before hopping too far into the line of battle!

His low base Res stat of 20 doesn't help this problem of his. Keep him away from tome and dragonstone users!
