When using an Ascendant Floret, we recommend getting the next superboon if it fits the hero. If not, consider what stat your hero needs most.
The best IVs for Young Elise are +Spd and -Def. Despite Atk being a superboon, Spd is still Elise's most important stat, allowing her to create follow-up attacks against slower foes.
Def is a clear dump stat and can be safely taken as a bane.
We recommend a +Atk IV when merging Young Elise up to +10, as her Spd would still be enough to create follow-up attacks against all foes except the fastest metagame foes, and they will all be boosting their Spd anyway, making the boost from the Spd IV irrelevant. Opt for more damage instead.

Young Elise is a ranged magic attacker (range = 2). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage she deals will be equivalent to her Atk minus the foe's Res stat.

Young Elise's exclusive weapon Baton of Dusk has built-in 【Canto (Rem.; Min 1)】 and Wrathful Staff and grants Elise and nearby allies Atk/Spd+6, 【Treachery】, and a status that grants bonus Special cooldown charges per attack at the start of each turn.
In combat, Baton of Dusk grants Elise up to Atk/Spd/Def/Res+14, bonus true damage equal to 20% of her Spd, and a Null Follow-Up effect.
Baton of Dusk has most of the effects that modern exclusive weapons have, but it does not have true damage reduction built-in. Elise will function as an offensive unit just as good as other offensive units, but she won't be able to take hits and will be reliant on the Dazzling Staff effect of Atk/Spd Tidings to prevent counterattacks.
Young Elise has very low HP and Def stats at only base 38 and 17 respectively. With stats those low, she will be defeated in one hit by any physical attacker.
Keep her away from foes that deal physical damage to ensure her survival!
Young Elise takes 1.5x damage from cavalry-effective weapons like Thani or Binding Reginleif, and one blow from this type of weapon will deal significant damage. Make sure you know what weapons you are up against before hopping too far into the line of battle!
