Class | Explanation |
---|---|
General | High Mobility is unrecommended for the map due to Darkness. Stay slow and fortify your defenses while marching slowly! |
Micaiah | Micaiah's engage attack can use Shine which illuminates the area that Micaiah attacks. Useful for revealing more units around your primary target. |
Sigurd | Since Griss teleports near your party on turn 1, having a high damage unit use Sigrid can allow you to rush to his location and kill him once. |
Griffin Knight
Martial Master |
Units with high RES are great for the map as Griss is a spell caster so having units that can survive his attacks is highly recommended. |
Objective | |
---|---|
NOTE | This is a Map with Darkness Bring Torches and other light source The area is wide and enemies can come from multiple sides so bringing light sources is essential for this stage. |
1 | Griss will immediately teleport to the south-east most tile Attack him immediately then destroy one of his revival stone to make him stop moving around the map. This will cause him to return to his protection tile on the far northern side of the map. |
2 | Griss will then move to the map's 3rd row near the Elusian Soldier with the Entrap Staff |
3 | Use Astra Storm to assassinate the Elusian Soldier with the Entrap Staff This makes it much safer to advance to the deeper area of the map as this unit will pull one of your units for a potential death. |
4 | Alternatively, you can push a high defense unit inside with Ike preferably. This allows you to use Great Aether to devastate the enemy's mid line while also making it easy for the rest of your units to follow through. |
5 | Your next goal would be to eliminate all enemies up until the third row of the map. The thieves will also spawn in this area as which will allow you to kill them as soon as they spawn if you take over the area quickly. |
6 | Once all the Thieves are slain, illuminate the left and right most part of the upper area then push your units towards the chests. Prioritize illuminating the area first as there are 3 units hiding in the darkness for each side. |
7 | Regroup in the center then have your Lyn user use Astra Arrow to lure Griss to your team. Have a High RES unit stand in front of your team to take Griss' attack! |
8 | Group up on Griss then defeat him to clear the stage |
Griss will sneakily teleport to the lower right most side of the map. You can station all your highest damage unit on this side then grant them a 2nd turn to reach Griss via Byleth's Goddess Dance. However, after killing Griss once, he will teleport back to his protection tile on the northern-most part of the map.
Chapter 20's map is filled with Darkness so preparing Torches, Illume, and other darkness repelling skills are recommended. Darkness are also untraversable even if your move stat allows it so it is imperative to reveal as much of the area as you can or play slowly using immobile units.
Once you're able to secure all the treasure chest and the third row of the map, use Lyn's Engage attack (and if its not available, use the Emblem Energy on the area) to severely damage Griss. If you have enough damage, you can even downright remove one of Griss Revival stone. With both Revival stones gone (1 from the snipe possibly and 1 from the entrance), killing Griss will just boil down to going to melee range with him to land the killing blow.
