Fire Emblem Engage (FE Engage)

Bond Rings: How to Get, Equip and Upgrade to S Rank

Fire Emblem Engage Bond Rings

Create and meld Bond Rings at the Ring Chamber in Fire Emblem Engage. Find out how to get Bond Rings and power up Bond Rings for greater stat boosts.

How to Get Bond Rings

Visit the Ring Chamber at the Somniel

Fire Emblem Engage Create Bond Rings

Visit the Ring Chamber at the Somniel home base. At the Central Pedestal of the chamber, select Create Bond Rings and choose an Emblem from the list of collected Emblem Rings presented.

▶︎ Things to Do at the Somniel

Bond Fragments are Required

Fire Emblem Engage Spend Bond Fragments

It costs 100 Bond Fragments to create 1 Bond Ring. You can choose to create 1 or 10 Bond Rings at a time, but the cost per Bond Ring remains the same with either option.

▶︎ How to Farm Bond Fragments

Create Bond Ring Corresponding to Chosen Emblem

Fire Emblem Engage New Mystery of the Emblem

You create a Bond Ring corresponding to a fellow character from the chosen Emblem's previous games in the Fire Emblem series. In the above example, Marth was selected, so the player received the Bond Rings of characters from Fire Emblem: New Mystery of the Emblem.

The Bond Rings are named after the character as well and given a ranking distinction from C to S. Being the lowest, Bond Rings with the C ranking only offer a slight increase to 1 stat, while those of the B ranking and higher offer an increase to multiple stats.

How to Equip Bond Rings

Equip to a Unit on the Emblem Select Screen

Newly forged Bond Rings won't be automatically equipped to your unit, even if they're equipped with the Emblem the Bond Rings were made from. You'll have to manually equip each Bond Ring to a unit of your choice on the Emblem select screen.

Equipping Bond Rings to units without Emblem Rings equipped is how you can get those units to earn Skill Points (SP).

How to Upgrade Bond Rings to S Rank

Select Bond Rings to Meld

Fire Emblem Engage Meld Bond Rings

Also at the Central Pedestal of the chamber, there is the option to Meld Bond Rings. You can meld two or more Bond Rings of the same name and rank into a singular Bond Ring of a higher rank.

Bond Fragments are Required

Fire Emblem Engage Melding Rings

You also need Bond Fragments to meld Bond Rings together. The higher the rank of the Bond Rings, the more Bond Fragments it'll cost to power them up to the succeeding rank.

Ring Rank Increases After Melding

Fire Emblem Engage Ring Rank

Melding the rings will result in a singular ring of the same name, but of one higher rank. For example, melding Bond Rings of the C ranking will produce a singular ring of the B ranking.

What are Bond Rings?

Increases Stats When Equipped

More Characters From the Past Return

Fire Emblem Engage Past Characters

Through the Bond Rings, you'll get to see even more characters from previous Fire Emblem games make an appearance in Engage. It's a welcome nod to characters from previous games who aren't currently playable in Engage as Emblems.
