How to Use the Fortune Teller

No Known In-Game Effects

Fire Emblem Engage Tarot Cards

Interacting with the Fortune Teller does not seem to have any effect on your units' stats or abilities.

Seadall simply just draws a tarot card of an Emblem character and tells the unit what their Current Worry is and who they're Thinking Of. However, these bits of information can't be acted upon either in the Somniel or on the battlefield.

Playable Only at Night

Fire Emblem Engage Fortune Telling

Fortune Telling can only be done at night in the Somniel. Each character can pull 1 tarot card after every battle and there's no cost to having your fortune told.

So there is an effect to which the positive cards show which character they're thinking of increases their bond support with. Some may be meant to throw you off since there are no bond supports shown between the two, while others being thought of do have a bond support conversation and will have an increase to how much bond they can get. This effect takes place in the next battle.
