How to Recruit Jade

Chapter 9: Automatically joins in the Chapter

Jade will join Alear and your party during the events of Chapter 9: A Clash of Forces if you talk to her during battle using Alear or Diamant. If you were not able to talk to Jade before departing, Jade will still join your party in a cutscene if she survives after the battle.

Recommended to Recruit Jade in Battle

We recommend you recruit Jade during battle instead of after to add more allies to your party that will help you fight Ivy, Kagetsu and Zelkov.

In both casual and classic mode, there is the risk of Jade getting permanently killed in battle if you do not talk to her immediately. Jade cannot be recruited anymore if she dies before you talk to her, and the chances of this is higher in difficult or maddening mode.

Resolve+ pairs well with Jade's personal skill granting Def+7 and Res+9 on the occassion she is dealt magic damage, while Vantage++ allows her to strike first on foes that have managed to pierce through her defenses.

Since Jade operates best as a tank and her stat growth favors Def, the Avo-10 from Axe Power 5 is negligible especially if paired with Hold Out+++ which can ensure she survives any sudden magic attacks or critical hits.

Jade has an impressive HP and Str stat growth, with high Def that makes her a decent tank unit. Both Roy and Ike will maximize these stats even more, with Roy's counterattacks and Ike's powerful Great Aether move.

Leif can be a good alternative in order to get his skill that increases Axe damage.

Jade Paired Ending and Romance

Pact Ring with Jade

After clearing Chapter 22, players unlock The Connector Paralogue and can subsequently unlock the Pact Ring. This essentially acts as Fire Emblem Engage's S-Rank Support and romance route.

Alear can then give the ring to Jade once they have attained an A-Rank in support to view a special cutscene, and unlock a page in the reference about the life they lived together.

Jade's Memento

Jade's sturdy shield. She gave this to me as a symbol of our close bond, saying that she would always protect me.

Apart from obtaining an exclusive ending with Jade after giving the Pact Ring, players can also head to Alear's room and check the small table next to their bed to find a memento from her.

While the memento serves no purpose in combat whatsoever unlike the Merc Whistle in Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes, it further contextualizes the paired ending selected by the player.
