Fire Emblem Engage Griffin Knight Griffin Knight
Byleth with a Griffin Knight will allow you to use Luin, a lance whose damage scales with Speed and is effective against dragons. Griffin Knights also naturally have high resistance which is great for several bosses in this stage.
LynLyn Astra Storm is an insanely long ranged attack. It can be used to defeat enemies without even entering their range and is also a good skill for luring enemies.
Fire Emblem Engage Swordmaster Swordmaster Or any other sword users and give them the Wyrmslayer.

Chapter 17 Battle Walkthrough

Objective
1 Send a high RES unit north immediately.
Griss will immediately retaliate with Ragnarok Warp. Bait him out then focus your attacks on him!
2 After killing Griss, Regroup your team on the starting point
The rest of the units up north should come chasing your team after Griss' defeat as well as the archers and dragon on the center of the map.
3 Place your armored units on the west entrance
There will be melee units coming from this angle, intercept them while waiting for the enemies up north.
4 Kill all the units up north then lure the archers and the dragon to your area
The flaming terrain is passable and the archers and dragon will do so.
5 Once the Dragon and the archers are in, dispatch of them
Use Eirika's Emblem to quickly dispose of the dragon.
6 Now head West then up north to defeat the rest of the enemies
With the luring strategy, only units on the left side of the map should still be present.
7 Use Astra Storm to attack Zephia from afar.
This will cause Zephia to chase your team alone.
8 After picking Zephia from the enemy team, make a slow march towards the rest of the enemy units with armored units on the front.
With Zephia gone, there will be no more magic attack users aside from Veyle which won't make a move too soon.
9 Eliminate Hyacinth.
Hyacinth only uses physical attacks so having an armored unit tank his attacks and deal with him will make the battle easy.
10 Move further in until Veyle starts moving.
11 Once Veyle is in range, focus her using attacks effective against dragons.
The Wyrmslayer is effective against Veyle as well as Byleth's Luin.

2. How to Beat Griss

Luring Griss

Griss will play pretty aggressively and will attempt to rush your team head on. Lure Griss using a high RES unit like a Griffin Flier or a Martial Master then focus him once he's in range.

Defeating the Enemies on the Center of the Map

Luring Dragon to Starter Area

When you try to lure Griss, chances are the dragon on the center and the archers will also start chasing after you. Play defensively and return to your starting area until they start pushing the flame tiles.

Assassinating Zephia

Sniping Zephia
Zephia will be standing stationary near Veyle. You can attack Zephia from afar using Astra Storm (Lyn's Emblem Attack) and cause her to separate from the team.

When I did Florra Port, Hyancinth and Veyle moved toward me at the same time. I almost had no choice but to kill off one of my units, but my friend was able to come up with a sick strategy for me
