These are the things to accomplish while visiting the Somniel in between battles.
Collect items scattered throughout The Somniel. Open the map by pressing ZR for easy navigation.
You can increase Support Levels by giving gifts to allies. Increasing Support Levels, which will give you the upper hand in battle so try to increase them as much as you can.

Donate to kingdoms via the Bulletin Board at Cafe Terrace to receive items, Gold, and increase the spawn rate of rare enemies.

Check your achievements at the Bulletin Board in the Cafe Terrace to earn Bond Fragments.
In your bedroom, you can Sleep or Reminisce on your bed. Sleeping passes the time on the in-game clock. You could also change the difficulty of your game at the bed, if you're not satisfied with the one you have set.

You can replay past Support and Bond conversations by interacting with your bed.
The mysterious creature known as Sommie is also found at the Somniel. You can feed, pet, and dress up Sommie in order to acquire varying in-game rewards, such as Bond Fragments. Increasing your friendship with Sommie will also make it help you during certain minigames like fishing or Wyvern Riding.
Animals you've encountered in your playthrough can be brought to the Somniel's Farmyard. Interacting with the animals might reward you with varying items, so best to bring as many animals back to the Somniel as you can.
Located at the Plaza are the Armory and Item Shop. You can purchase Weapons at the Armory and stat-boosting Items at the Item Shop. Make sure to have enough gold in order to shop for the quality items!

You can buy various consumables at the Item Shop that can help you out in battle.
At the Training Yard, you can partake in Strength Training to earn a temporary stat boost ahead of your next battle. Strength Training involves rhythm-based minigames that require you to hit certain buttons within a given window.

In the Ring Chamber, you can do different activities to directly strengthen your Emblems. You will be visiting this place numerous times throughout your journey.

Head over to the amiibo Gazebo in order to scan compatible amiibo figures from the Fire Emblem series. Doing so will unlock exclusive outfits and music corresponding to the amiibo figure that you scanned.
At the Arena, you can partake in mock battles against your allies or your Emblems in order to gain EXP and Skill Points, as well as to deepen your bonds with Emblems.

At the Boutique, you can purchase outfits not just for the protagonist but for all your units as well. Outfits and accessories purchased are only cosmetic items equippable within the Somniel!

You can refine your weapons at the Smithy. If you find yourself stuck in a chapter, this is the first place you should visit to strengthen your units.

At Cafe Terrace, you can place an order with any of the characters in the rotation for cooking duty and share the prepared meal with your allies. Depending how much your allies liked the meal, you will earn a certain amount of increase in Support.

The Tower of Trials is located at the furthest point of the Somniel. Here, you partake in a series of consecutive battles that give you in-game rewards upon completion. The Tower of Trials has online features too, as you can create and share your own Battle Maps with players online.
You can also do photo shoots and edit your Profile Card. Show it off to your friends online!
You could also partake in fishing in order to catch fish carrying Bond Fragments and other items.

At the Somniel, there is a rail-shooter aerial Wyvern Riding minigame, where you can obtain Bond Fragments and items, as well as show off your high score.

You can purchase gifts at the Flea Market, as well as fishing rods and materials for refining weapons. The items are randomly generated, so check it out regularly!
